Blame là gì?
Động từ Blame trong tiếng Anh mang ngữ nghĩa là “đổ lỗi” dành cho ai hoặc cái gì.
Ví dụ:
- Susan blamed me for losing her bike.
Susan đổ lỗi cho tôi vì làm mất chiếc xe đạp của cô ta.
- Adam blamed me for signing that contract.

Blame sth on N được sử dụng để diễn đạt nghĩa “đổ lỗi lên đầu ai”.
(S) + blame sth + on + someone + (for sth)
Ví dụ:
- Adam wants to watch Susan’s eactions when he blame it on her.
Adam muốn xem phản ứng của Susan khi anh ta đổ lỗi lên đầu cô ấy.
- You can not blame it on me. I don’t know that.

take the blame (+ for sth)
Take the blame được sử dụng nhằm diễn đạt ngữ nghĩa “chịu trách nhiệm, nhận lỗi”. Trong trường hợp này, Blame sẽ đóng vai trò là danh từ với nghĩa là “lỗi”.

Ví dụ:
- My staff took the blame for that contract.
Nhân viên của tôi đã đứng ra nhận lỗi về hợp đồng đó.

Đây cũng được coi là dạng cấu trúc Blame thường hay bắt gặp nhất trong các bài tập ngữ pháp cũng như giao tiếp hàng ngày. Cách dùng Blame ở dạng này sẽ diễn đạt mục đích muốn đổ lỗi cho ai đó, cho cái gì. Blame sẽ đóng vai trò là động từ và đứng trước 1 danh từ chỉ vật, chỉ người hoặc việc gì. Ở phía sau cụm từ này có thể đi với for sth nghĩa là vì việc gì đó.

Ví dụ:
- I didn’t finish the report on time. Then, i blamed my staff for it.

Phân biệt fault/blame for/accuse of
= Imperfection something not quite right: sự khuyết tật, không hoàn hảo.
Ví dụ:
This chair is well made apart from this small fault.
(Chiếc ghế này được làm rất đẹp, ngoại trừ cái lỗi nhỏ này).
The workmanship is superb. You can’t fault it.
(Tay nghề rất cao. Bạn sẽ không thể chê được).

To a fault: quá lắm, vô cùng.
To fìnd fault with: không vừa ý, phàn nàn.
With on faults: mất mát, hư hỏng.
2. Blame for /bleim fɔ:/
Blame sb for something: đổ lỗi cho ai về việc gì, đổ trách nhiệm.
Ví dụ:
He blamed his wife for spoling their children.
(Anh ấy đỗ lỗi cho vợ vì đã làm hư con cái của họ).
I don’t blame you for what happened.
(Tôi không trách bạn về việc đã xảy ra).

Accuse sb of something: tố cáo ai về việc gì.
Ví dụ:
They accused him of stealing money in the safe.
